Golf outing will pay for turf field in Mendham Borough

Posted: 29 Aug 2010 11:10 AM PDT

MENDHAM — "A Time for Turf Golf Outing" is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 13, at the Rockaway River Golf Club in Denville

The outing will raise funds to complete payment for a new turf sports field that was installed in 2008 at West Morris Mendham High School.

The cost is $250 per golfer.   Registration begins at 11 a.m. Lunch is at noon, with a scramble golf shot gun start at 1 p.m.

Installation was paid through private donations of Chester and Mendham families. The cost of the field was $800,000 and a balance remains due of $100,000, a statement said.
