| Fire levels golf course clubhouse (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette) Posted: 28 Mar 2010 11:27 AM PDT An overnight fire destroyed the clubhouse at Rolling Fields Golf Course in Murrysville. KDKA-TV quoted police as saying the fire started in the clubhouse on Hankey Church Road. No one was inside but the structure burned to the ground. There were no reported injuries. | Fire destroys clubhouse at Murrsyville golf course (Pittsburgh Tribune-Review) Posted: 28 Mar 2010 12:00 PM PDT State and local police are investigating the cause of a fire early Sunday that destroyed a golf course clubhouse in Murrysville. A Murrysville patrolman on routine patrol at 4:24 a.m. today observed black smoke coming from the area of Hankey Church Road, according to department Chief Thomas Seefeld. Upon further investigation, the officer discovered that the Rolling Fields Golf Course clubhouse was engulfed in flames, Seefeld said. About 100 golf carts also were destroyed, Seefeld said. No one was in the clubhouse at the time of the fire, according to a member of the Sardis volunteer fire department. Five Filters featured article: Chilcot Inquiry.
